Melissa & Sergio's Wedding Day
Allen Farmhaus, New Braunfels, TX
Melissa & Sergio are about the sweetest people on the planet. It was so obvious on their wedding day that they were just thrilled to be together. They were surrounded by so many friends and family (refer to the giant group photo of everyone!) And the Allen Farmhaus provided the most beautiful backdrop for their amazing day.
The first thing I usually start photographing when I arrive on a wedding day is details! This includes the dress, veil, shoes, rings, other jewelry, perfume, florals, and any other special items. When I arrived at Melissa & Sergio's wedding day, Melissa filled me in on the importance of some of her wedding day details. The necklace by Gems and Juniper she would be wearing carried her late father's ashes. Her pearl earrings were her grandmother's, and I loved that she had the vintage box still to hold them. Sergio would be wearing Melissa's dad's boots. And how amazing that Sergio and her dad wore the same size boots at a size 14! Melissa also included a photo of her when she was little wearing her dad's boots. I was so moved by Melissa explaining to me what these items meant to her, and this sweet and emotional day was only getting started!
There were so many sweet getting ready moments for Melissa and her girls! Melissa's niece/flower girl was definitely an adorable highlight of the day! And just when I thought there were already so many special things about this day, I was informed that Melissa's grandmother hand-made individual necklaces for each of the girls! Sergio also had a specially made suit from Limatus Bespoke.
I was in complete awe of how gorgeous Melissa looked as a bride! The florals from Wanderlust & Wild were simply stunning. The way everything came together in the chapel was just breathtaking.
We were all so thankful the weather held up, because it was supposed to not only be cold and windy but rainy as well. The rain held off, and even though it was a little breezy and cold, it turned out to be a beautiful day.
Remember that big group photo I mentioned? Well, that was a lot of people and good thing we had a ladder!
That chilly breeze worked well for Melissa's veil! Happiness, lace, pretty colors and light, are just a few of my favorite reasons I love these photos.
A mariachi band led the way for Melissa & Sergio to join the reception! And at the end of the night, prior to their last dance, they changed into their coordinating Mr. and Mrs. sweat outfits!
